dome of your yurt… come stay with us and explore the scenic Mountain
Loop Highway

Looking up inside a yurt |
Anticipated in
2009, Paca Pride Guest Ranch will feature guest yurts for
rental. Each one will be uniquely furnished for a
rustic, upscale camping experience. But don't worry
about being too rustic, electricity and wireless internet
are also planned. Even those non-campers who prefer a hotel
room to a tent will be pleasantly surprised at the
delightful experience of staying in a yurt. Imagine,
your own round mini cabin in the woods! |
| Our first phase
rollout will introduce up to 10 guest yurts along the top of
our forested hillside and within full view of the alpacas
and llamas romping in the pastures. Comfortable beds,
linens, and pillows will keep you cozy as you gaze at the
stars through the center dome. In future phases, our yurts will get
a lift. That's right, tree-yurts! We'll be building them on decks
in the trees for a truly memorable getaway. |

Our guests who stay at Paca Pride
will have restroom and shower facilities accessible from right
outside the main building. A nice hot shower makes the choice
between staying at a campground and staying with us an easy one!
But that's not all! We might
be
rustic, but we're still a resort and that means we plan to offer amenities that we
couldn't live without, and you'd never be able to find at a
campground: a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Watch
for them to come in the future! |

How do you describe what it's like to stay in a yurt?
Let's just say there is something that is magically spiritual about it!
Something about a structure that has no corners and draws the eyes
naturally upward has a way of lifting the spirit as well. You can
hear the birds, you can listen to the rain, and you can see the sky.
Yurts stay comfortably warm since they are insulated and the windows and
top dome can be opened to allow in a fresh summer breeze. There are
many individuals who use yurts as their primary residence, dividing some
of the larger ones into individual rooms. Our guest yurts will be
like having your own bedroom in the forest.
What food will you need to bring when staying at Paca Pride?
Think camping reinvented. We make enjoying the
outdoors easy. Propane BBQs are available for cooking outdoors,
for those who are adventurous. Just pack your cooler as you would
any outdoor getaway. We even offer cooking utensil kits for rental
containing everything you need to prepare and eat your meal, you just
bring the food! If you like, you can also choose to saunter
into town only 7 miles away, to eat at a number of restaurants there or
go 2.5 miles further up the road to the Mountain View restaurant for a
great burger and fries.
What's included in each yurt?
Each guest yurt will be furnished with beds and
furniture; some will be able to host up to four in a yurt; some yurts
will be clustered near others for families and friends. Yurts will also
feature insulated wall linings and electric heaters for comfort.
Electric outlets and lighting complete our spin on camping. Yurts will
also have picnic tables and front decks to lounge outside. Showers
and restrooms are attached to the main house for a hot shower.
In the future for Paca Pride Guest Ranch:
- Furnished Guest Yurts
- Hot Tub
- Sauna / Steam Room
- Outdoor Kitchen for meal
preparation
