Roam with the Alpacas, hike with the Llamas, view the stars from the dome of your yurt… come stay with us and explore the scenic Mountain Loop Highway |
3-hour Roundtrip Walkabout - A perfect team building exercise! Bring your group to the ranch for a unique team building experience! Both kids and adults enjoy this truly unique experience walking an animal that has been domesticated for centuries. We start off with a llama primer giving you the basics for walking your llama on the trail. Then we'll leave right from the ranch and proceed to the historic Robe Canyon Trail. This well established trail goes through the forest and down a series of switch backs as we descend the canyon wall. At the bottom, we saunter at a llama's pace enjoying the scenic beauty. You'll begin to hear the rushing water of the South Fork Stillaguamish River up ahead as we duck through a couple of trees and land right on the rocky beach. Here we'll take a break and learn about some of the history from this gold rush canyon where East Coast railroad financiers built a series of railroad tunnels for the Everett and Monte Cristo Railway only to be foiled by the "little trout stream" that turns into a raging torrent during the wet season flooding the tunnels out numerous times. We'll then head back up the trail and home to the ranch. This stroll with the llamas covers about 2 miles round trip and takes us about 3 hours with a 20 minute break at the river's edge. It's a gentle, slow paced walk. Call or email for further information and pricing (include size of group and number of adults/children under 12). We'll happily tailor fit a walk to your group's needs. Here are a few photos from our previous hikes to the river this past season.
